Bible Infallibility

Why the Bible is the very Word of God: its inspiration, why every word is needed, its importance, how to understand it, and God’s promise to preserve it.

In this lesson

The Word of God is the most important and necessary element to the growth of a believer. It is as important as the sun and the rain are to the growth of a plant, or as food and water are to the nourishment of the body. God’s Word is a great source of comfort and also your only offensive weapon against the strategies of the devil. This study will aid you in seeing these principles and hopefully cause you to esteem and apply the Bible in your life. Read it, study it, memorize it, meditate upon it day and night and you will steadily be conformed to the image of God’s Son.

Today, Satan has launched a serious attack on God’s Word. Liberals and modernists from every side have attempted to destroy the integrity and reliability of the Bible by casting doubt on its accuracy. They say that it only contains the words of God. Consequently, there are, at the time of this publication, over 400 different English versions of the Bible available on the market. This does nothing but cause confusion in the hearts of believers and nonbelievers alike. “God is not the author of confusion.” 1 Corinthians 14:33 Hence, you must study the concept of Biblical infallibility so that you will not be tossed to and fro. Again, this is not a complete study but an overview to present several rational arguments. An intense study of “manuscript evidence” will be dealt with later.

I. The Only Source of Truth

John 17:17Memory Verse“...thy Word is truth.”

John 17:17 · KJV

17Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Psalms 119:140-142“...thy law is the truth.”

Psalms 119:140-142 · KJV

140Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it. 141I am small and despised: yet do not I forget thy precepts. 142Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.

John 8:32Memory Verse“...the truth shall make you free.”

John 8:32 · KJV

32And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Psalms 12:6Memory VerseThe Words of the Lord are (not were) pure.

Psalms 12:6 · KJV

6The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Proverbs 30:5-6Memory VerseEvery Word of God is (not was) pure.

Proverbs 30:5-6 · KJV

5Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. 6Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Proverbs 8:8Nothing froward or perverse in them

Proverbs 8:8 · KJV

8All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.

II. The Bible’s Inspiration

A.The source of truth is God, not man.

2 Timothy 3:16“All scripture is given by inspiration of God...”

2 Timothy 3:16 · KJV

16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

B.God gave the Word by putting the words in men’s mouths.

2 Samuel 23:2Whose Word?

2 Samuel 23:2 · KJV

2The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue.

Isaiah 51:16Again, whose words in whose mouth?

Isaiah 51:16 · KJV

16And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.

Jeremiah 1:9Again, whose words in whose mouth?

Jeremiah 1:9 · KJV

9Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.

2 Peter 1:16-19God's Word is more sure than hearing a voice from Heaven.

2 Peter 1:16-19 · KJV

16For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 18And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. 19We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

2 Peter 1:20“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.”

2 Peter 1:20 · KJV

20Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

2 Peter 1:21“...but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” (John 3:8 - The Wind/Spirit moves things).

2 Peter 1:21 · KJV

21For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

C.God formed the men to speak His words.

Jeremiah 1:5-7God formed Jeremiah to be His prophet.

Jeremiah 1:5-7 · KJV

5Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. 6Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. 7But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.

Isaiah 49:1-2Isaiah was a polished shaft designed and fashioned by God to speak His Word.

Isaiah 49:1-2 · KJV

1Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. 2And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;

Isaiah 50:4God gave Isaiah the tongue of the learned.

Isaiah 50:4 · KJV

4The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.

Exodus 3:15-4:12These men were designed by God for His purpose.

Exodus 3:15-22 · KJV

15And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. 16Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt: 17And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey. 18And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God. 19And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand. 20And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go. 21And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty: 22But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians.

Exodus 4:1-12 · KJV

1And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee. 2And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod. 3And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it. 4And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand: 5That they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee. 6And the LORD said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow. 7And he said, Put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh. 8And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign. 9And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land. 10And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. 11And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD? 12Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.

D.God instructed men to write the words down.

Exodus 24:4Moses wrote them.

Exodus 24:4 · KJV

4And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.

Jeremiah 30:1-2Jeremiah was instructed by God to write the words down.

Jeremiah 30:1-2 · KJV

1The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, 2Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.

Revelation 1:19John was to write what he saw.

Revelation 1:19 · KJV

19Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;

Psalms 68:11God gave it and men published it.

Psalms 68:11 · KJV

11The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.

Psalms 119:89-91A perfect copy has been in heaven before the foundation of the world. God is faithful to give His Word to all generations.

Psalms 119:89-91 · KJV

89LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. 90Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. 91They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all are thy servants.

III. Every Word Is Needed and Is Profitable

Deuteronomy 8:3Moses says you need every word.

Deuteronomy 8:3 · KJV

3And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

Matthew 4:4Memory VerseJesus verified it.

Matthew 4:4 · KJV

4But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Job 23:12Job esteemed God’s words more than his food.

Job 23:12 · KJV

12Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

2 Timothy 3:16-17Memory VerseGod’s Word is profitable for:

2 Timothy 3:16-17 · KJV

16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

(1) Doctrine - The Word defines the path of truth to walk for God. Titus 2:1-10; Titus 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 1:5-6, 18-19)

(2) Reproof - The Word determines where you got off the path of truth. (Proverbs 1:23; Proverbs 6:23)

(3) Correction - The Word shows you how to get back on the path of truth. (Jeremiah 10:23-24)

(4) Instruction - The Word explains how to stay on the path of truth. (Psalms 119:33-35)

Acts 20:32The Word is able to build you up in the faith.

Acts 20:32 · KJV

32And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

1 Peter 2:2The Word provides milk for a babe to grow.

1 Peter 2:2 · KJV

2As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

Hebrews 5:11-14The Word becomes strong meat to them that are exercised by it.

Hebrews 5:11-14 · KJV

11Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. 12For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

1 Corinthians 3:1-2The Corinthians were babes because they could not handle the meat of the Word.

1 Corinthians 3:1-2 · KJV

1And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

Psalms 19:7-11(vs. 10) - The Word is sweeter than the honeycomb.

Psalms 19:7-11 · KJV

7The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. 8The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. 9The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. 10More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

IV. The Bible’s Importance

Psalms 138:2Memory VerseThe Lord has magnified His Word above His name.

Psalms 138:2 · KJV

2I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

John 6:63His words are spirit and life.

John 6:63 · KJV

63It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Psalms 119:105Memory VerseHis Word is a lamp.

Psalms 119:105 · KJV

105NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Psalms 119:130Memory VerseHis Word gives light.

Psalms 119:130 · KJV

130The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

Ephesians 6:17; Hebrews 4:12The Word is a weapon of war.

Ephesians 6:17 · KJV

17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Hebrews 4:12 · KJV

12For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Psalms 119:9; Ephesians 5:26The Word cleanses.

Psalms 119:9 · KJV

9BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

Ephesians 5:26 · KJV

26That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

Romans 10:17-19His Word is a source of faith for the saved or lost.

Romans 10:17-19 · KJV

17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. 18But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world. 19But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.

Psalms 1:1-3; Joshua 1:8The Word is the key to your success in life. Meditate on it constantly.

Psalms 1:1-3 · KJV

1Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Joshua 1:8 · KJV

8This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

V. Understanding the Bible

John 14:26The Spirit will teach you all things.

John 14:26 · KJV

26But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

1 John 2:27The anointing is a picture of His Spirit as in being anointed with oil. It is through this anointing that we are taught all things. We are not dependent upon man to be taught because His Spirit will lead and guide us into all truth. (John 16:13)

1 John 2:27 · KJV

27But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

1 Corinthians 2:7-16The Spirit searches the “deep” things of God. You can not understand the Bible until you are saved (vs. 14)

1 Corinthians 2:7-16 · KJV

7But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

1 John 4:1-6The wrong spirit leads to the wrong interpretation. A spirit that is not after Christ will lead you astray.

1 John 4:1-6 · KJV

1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 4Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 5They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 6We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Psalms 119:18; Psalms 119:125Pray for enlightenment.

Psalms 119:18, 125 · KJV

18Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. 125I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.

2 Timothy 2:15; Acts 17:11; Proverbs 2:4-6Study to understand the Bible’s precepts.

2 Timothy 2:15 · KJV

15Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Acts 17:11 · KJV

11These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Proverbs 2:4-6 · KJV

4If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; 5Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. 6For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

VI. God Promises to Preserve His Word for Man

Psalms 12:6-7The Lord keeps His words. The Lord preserves His Word to all generations. Notice, God preserves it - NOT man!

Psalms 12:6-7 · KJV

6The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

Proverbs 22:12The eyes of the Lord preserve knowledge.

Proverbs 22:12 · KJV

12The eyes of the LORD preserve knowledge, and he overthroweth the words of the transgressor.

Psalms 33:11The thoughts of His heart are to all generations.

Psalms 33:11 · KJV

11The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

Psalms 100:5His truth endureth to all generations.

Psalms 100:5 · KJV

5For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Psalms 117:2The truth of the Lord endureth forever.

Psalms 117:2 · KJV

2For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.

Psalms 119:89-91His faithfulness to deliver His Word to us extends to all generations. The longest chapter in the entire Bible is Psalm 119, it is dedicated to exalting His Word.

Psalms 119:89-91 · KJV

89LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. 90Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. 91They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all are thy servants.

Matthew 5:18Till heaven and earth pass, one jot (the smallest letter of the Hebrew alphabet - jot, the tenth letter) or one tittle (a small hornlike appendage, which transforms one Hebrew letter into another,) shall in no wise pass away. Thus, a stronger statement by Jesus of absolute verbal inspiration and preservation could hardly be imagined!

Matthew 5:18 · KJV

18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Matthew 24:35Heaven and earth shall pass away before God’s Word shall be lost.

Matthew 24:35 · KJV

35Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

VII. Which Bible?

At this point instead of entering into a lengthy study on “Manuscript Evidence”, we will present some logical analogies in hope of pointing you in a direction that has been proven by many saints for centuries. We believe the Authorized King James Bible is the pure, preserved Word of God for the English speaking nations. It has come from the true line of scriptural text that was preserved by the faithful churches, “the pillar and ground of truth”, throughout the centuries. God has set it apart for use these past four centuries. The KJV Bible has been used to win millions of sinners to Christ, to send missionaries all over the world, and to alter the course of nations. No other version has such a magnificent testimony. In January of 1604, King James, ruler of one of the greatest nations in the world, authorized the translating of this Bible. Romans 13:1 states, “...there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.” The Lord used this unsaved man (most likely unsaved, based on his testimony) to initiate this great task for Himself. At the time of its development, the English language was at its peak of expression. Since then the English language has deteriorated and peoples’ vocabularies have severely diminished. Thus, general terms and slang have been adopted over the years causing a loss in accuracy of expression. The following is a thought-provoking comparison of Jesus Christ; the Word made flesh, and the Authorized King James Bible, the Word written down, in light of today’s criticisms. (The following comparison was borrowed from an unknown, uncopyrighted source and slightly modified.)

A.Like Jesus Christ, this Bible is not afraid to claim its AUTHORITY in speaking THE VERY WORD OF GOD, PURELY.

John 12:48-50It speaks for God, and men will be judged by what it says.

John 12:48-50 · KJV

48He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. 49For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. 50And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

John 8:12-24It bears witness to itself, and God bears witness to it by using it. Millions have come to Christ over the past centuries through its use.

John 8:12-24 · KJV

12Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. 13The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true. 14Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go. 15Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. 16And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. 17It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true. 18I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me. 19Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also. 20These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come. 21Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come. 22Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come. 23And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. 24I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

John 8:42-44The devil blinds the minds of men through pride so they won’t hear Him.

John 8:42-44 · KJV

42Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 43Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 44Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

John 14:10-11It is evident that the Lord is using this Bible because of its impact on the world, just like Christ’s impact.

John 14:10-11 · KJV

10Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 11Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

B.Like Jesus Christ, this Bible is persecuted.

Matthew 12:14Pharisees held a “council” to destroy Jesus. Just like today, the religious have tried to destroy the Word by replacing it with a copy of their own. Every other version is readily accepted except the King James Bible because it comes from a different line of scripture.

Matthew 12:14 · KJV

14Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.

Mark 11:18Scribes and chief priests “united” together to destroy Jesus because of His doctrine. Just like today, the religious want to destroy the Word which divides because of its doctrine, so that they can all “unite”.

Mark 11:18 · KJV

18And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.

Luke 20:19Those that Jesus exposed and spoke out against by the truth of His words wanted to get rid of Him. The same is only with the Authorized King James Bible.

Luke 20:19 · KJV

19And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them.

C.Like with Jesus Christ, the world looks for contradictions and errors in this Bible.

Mark 12:13Pharisees and Herodians sent to catch Jesus in His words.

Mark 12:13 · KJV

13And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words.

Luke 11:53-54Scribes and Pharisees waited to catch Him in His speech.

Luke 11:53-54 · KJV

53And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things: 54Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.

Matthew 22:15Pharisees tried to entangle Him in His talk.

Matthew 22:15 · KJV

15And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.

D.Like Jesus Christ, this Bible challenges the world to find fault.

John 8:46Jesus challenged them to name and prove just one sin.

John 8:46 · KJV

46Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

Hebrews 4:15Jesus was tempted on all points but without sin, even so the DEVIL, the WORLD, and the FLESH try the Word. See also 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:22 and 1 John 3:5.

Hebrews 4:15 · KJV

15For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

E.You know the Holy Spirit wrote this Bible because it magnifies Jesus Christ.

John 16:13-14The Holy Spirit speaks of Jesus Christ.

John 16:13-14 · KJV

13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Colossians 1:18Jesus is to have the preeminence.

Colossians 1:18 · KJV

18And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Psalms 118:8This is the middle verse of the Authorized King James Bible. The other Bible versions take out or add words, sentences, verses, or books so this verse would not be the middle. The verse has 14 words, the middle two are the center of the Bible. They are “THE LORD”. Now look carefully at what the verse says! Take heed to these words.

Psalms 118:8 · KJV

8It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

F.Like with Jesus Christ, the world claims this Bible’s language is “hard to understand” and that nobody talks like that.

1 Corinthians 2:14Lost men cannot understand the Bible the way it is supposed to be understood. They are of another spirit.

1 Corinthians 2:14 · KJV

14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Mark 4:11-12Jesus speaks that way intentionally so one cannot understand unless the person is converted.

Mark 4:11-12 · KJV

11And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

John 7:46They claimed nobody spoke like Jesus either.

John 7:46 · KJV

46The officers answered, Never man spake like this man.

G.There is no copyright on this Bible’s scriptures.

Revelation 22:17“...whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”

Revelation 22:17 · KJV

17And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Conclusion

We are living in perilous times. Satan is using every strategy possible to destroy faith in the earth and the church. Men’s hearts are failing because of fear. They have nothing stable on which to cleave. The Lord foreseeing this dilemma provided for you a true testimony many years prior. It is a “...more sure word of prophecy”. 2 Peter 1:19

“Prove all things, hold fast to that which is good.” 1 Thessalonians 5:21
